Hi there readers, and welcome to this week’s GSO post. I am coming to you today from the first part of my summer vacation! I am on the other side of the US today on the Oregon coast with my whole family and it is a really lovely spot. I hope you get a chance to get away to someplace beautiful this summer.
I noticed after I had chosen all my picks for this week that they all have white-ish backgrounds and similar linear composition. How weird is that? I don’t recall ever having a set of standouts that are so similar, do you?
My first pick this week is a bit of a mystery, because I’m not entirely sure what template Sarah Bennett used to make her big-brother page, but I’m going to go with a rotated Glitterball template. Sarah, if you see this, and remember what you used…come let us know! I just love the theme of the page, and the journaling about his new baby sister. The purples and blues are really nice against the white background paper and I really like the pennant banner and the cluster of nice-sized flowers.
This stunning page is Silhouette by ekasyr using an In Orbit template. I just love this! Beautiful worn edges around the round mat papers, and the patterned papers are lovely. I LOVE the brackets and the placement of the silhouette, and the perfectly shadowed cluster at the top and side of the page. The distressed leaf stamp is a perfect touch.
This page, Cupcake Fail, was made by Cyndi146 with a Flaming Hot template is about something that has happened to all of us at some point…a kitchen disaster! I love the split design with the journaling in the middle. The recipe at the top, the oven and mixer elements, just SO cute. Sad to see those poor sad little cuppy-cakes, but how wonderful to have a baker in the house!
My fourth and final pick for the week is This Is Love by Lizzy257 using an All By Myself template. I think this looks so cool! A beautiful kit, and I love the clean lettering of the word art. So many layers of pretty patterns, and I really like the flowers she has used here. Wonderful shadows on the different materials on the page.
Those are the picks! I hope you have enjoyed checking them out. Come back next week, for a special treat…Andrea HERSELF will be making the last post of June and choosing the June Layout of the Month!
Congratulations on your great pages ladies!
